Meet our Founder and current Owner
Doug Wolfe
My name is Doug Wolfe. I retired as a Lieutenant with a Southern California LE agency. Now, I have my dream job in aviation as a corporate pilot for a large US company.
I was in LE for 31 years and collected numerous coins from the different assignments, stations, and important people I’ve met. I also had 8 badges from promotions and assignments. These coins and badges sat in a drawer for many years until, one day, I decided I needed to display them.
I’ve always been into woodworking; it’s therapeutic for me. I made a wooden coin and badge display for my office, and when people passed by and saw it, they wanted one. Since then, I have made over 1,700 of these challenge coin displays and shipped them all over the world. The smallest display I’ve made holds three coins, and the largest holds 1,000.
Now that I’m a commercial pilot, I brought on a shop partner, Tim Engle, to help keep up with the workload. Tim is a true craftsman who ensures that my tradition of building great custom products at a reasonable price continues.
Tim Engle
My name is Tim Engle. I have been woodworking since I was a child. I grew up in a family of carpenters, and from a young age, I continued to learn from my Dad. I have been in and out of the construction industry since, but now, I have the greatest job ever. I create all types of items in my shop, and Challenge Coin Displays are the primary product. How can you not love hanging out in the shop for a living?
I met Doug after he started his display business, and we have worked together in the shop since. I was truly humbled and honored when Doug asked if I would continue his legacy of building high-quality custom Challenge Coin Displays. Of course, I said yes, and I am having a great time creating these displays for our great customers.
